Mystery Box is back!
And full of surprises
written by Mystery Box Joel
Alright folks!
It’s me: Mystery Box Joel. I am absolutely delighted to tell you that in 2026, Mystery Box is back!
Let’s start with potentially the most interesting news: we are releasing a brand new MYSTERY PEDAL in Mystery Box this year. This (analog!) pedal will ultimately be part of our standard line-up and will have a normal release in early-ish 2027 with a retail price of €469. Mystery Box, of course, has the low, low price point of €299. This has been long documented, but Mystery Box Joel cares about one thing above all else: VALUE.
So, the first opportunity to get this pedal will be in a Mystery Box in 2026. If you buy a Mystery Box, you will have roughly a 25% chance to get one. The mystery pedal will be identical to the one that we release in 2027 except for one very important detail: the Mystery Box version will be in a limited color that is exclusive to Mystery Box.
If you are tired of my ramblings and want to just order a dang Mystery Box, you can do that here:
There are a couple bits of important info we want to highlight:
There are 10,000 Mystery Boxes total. We decided this is the most we can possibly make as a team.
There is a strict limit of 2 Mystery Boxes per household. Any additional orders will be promptly cancelled.
There is so much left to say. So much value left to discover together. To help me with this, it’s time that you met my dear friend Mystery Box Mittens:
What’s inside?
Now we know what you are thinking. What might I find in MY Mystery Box? I’ll tell you one thing you are going to find for sure. You are going to find VALUE. More specifically though you will find:
1x Chase Bliss pedal nominally valued at least €469*
1x artist print**
1x set of custom dice
2500 of the boxes will contain the new mystery pedal.
500 of the boxes will include a bonus “Friends of Bliss” pedal from a different company in addition to a Chase Bliss pedal.
10 of the boxes will include a hand-painted pedal design by local artist and friend Hannah Haugberg.
*A small percentage of Mystery Boxes will contain B stock pedals. Those boxes will have extra goodies and merch. B stock includes pedals that contain a cosmetic blemish that doesn’t affect usability, or are a customer return we can’t sell as new (which may not have a noticeable blemish). They are functionally perfect and subject to the exact same rigorous quality control process as all our pedals. The retail value of each Mystery Box is greater than the Mystery Box price.

Friends of Bliss
One thing that has been especially fun this year is that we have had time to plan. We’ve been planning this for a hecking year. There are 500 “Friends of Bliss” pedals in Mystery Boxes this year, and in some cases these friends made special runs of things specifically for Mystery Box. FUN! FUN! FUN!
